Phulchowki

In Kathmandu valley it is one of the beautiful hiking in terms of vegetation. At 2791 meters, Phulchowki is the highest hill that surrounds Kathmandu. Though the height and the route are tough, the eye-catching view of the valley and the vegetation will satisfy you. The hike leads you to the Shiva temple at the top of the hill. The eastern part of Annapurna range to the Gaurishankar range at east can also be viewed.

 

Kulekhani&ThuloSailung

After the kulekhani hike, this is the next most popular hike nearby Kathmandu. The Thulo sailung, 3100 m, is a spot where you see a vast Himalayan range from Makalu to Dhaulagiri. Up the hill there is an area inhabited by Tamangs. Not only them, but you will encounter with different people.The word sailung comes from the existing environment of Sailung where one hundred smaller hills surround Sailung hill. In addition, this is the only hike from where you will have a glimpse of the Terai region.

There are a lots of place to hike in Nepal and one of them is Kulekhani. After traveling about nineteen kilometers from Kathmandu you will reach a middle mountain zone of Makwanpur, the place called Kulekhani. It is better known for its hydro project dam, which is the main attraction of the place. And of course Kulekhani is most famous for hiking, trekking and boating.
It is one of the most desirable places for any visitor that wont disappoint you. Even the route to Kulekhani is thrilling.

 

Daman Hiking

If you want the glorious view of the Himalayas, scenes of sunrise and sunset then Daman is the right place. a clear view of the north, east and west. One can also experience culture and religion from the local people and the Tibetan Monastery, and the Temple of Risewor. Only scenarios you say it, but the place is famous for trekking, sightseeing, cycling, rock climbing, pony ride and fishing.Also there is a Mountain Botanical Garden which comprises over 78 hectares of forest. Not only that but the view tower there is equipped with telescope through which one can enjoy scenarios of Rhododendron flowers and other beautiful hills. Daman is a great place to visit during winter season as the place is covered with heavy snowfall.

 

Kakani

It is a hill station on the northern side of Kathmandu, more quieter and peaceful with its breathtaking scenery. The scenery covers a vast range of peaks stretching from Ganesh Himal to the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Also it offers the view of the woodland of the lower valleys. The roadway from Balaju to Kakani is a challenge for cycle riders.

The place is famous for strawberry farming. Many people come here to visit the memorial park that is dedicated to the victims of Thai Airways International Flight. The environment of Kakani is even more charmed by the Rhododendron that bloom during winter.

 

Panauti

A small beautiful town of Panauti in Kavre District of Nepal is just 36 km away from Kathmandu. Well, not that far is it? It is situated right between the Roshi and the Puniamati rivers and the famous IndreshwarMahadev also lies there. The town has preserved its tradition and festivals, and possesses a number of historic temples. The Majority of the people belong to Newari culture and follow similar tradition to that of Kathmandu, but own numerous distinctive events.The place is famous for woodcarving, so definitely you will be carrying one of that on your way back. The Panauti has a lot to explore and a lot to wonder at.

 

Kalinchwok

To hike up to Kalinchowk you need to get 150 Kilometers from Kathmandu at Charikot. Kalinchowk is itself at an altitude of 3800m, and it might be just the right hike for you if you seek a little more challenging, adventurous hike. The walk involves walking into a steep path. The famous rivers, Sunkoshi and Tamakoshi are also originated from here. So, you will also have a chance of visiting it aside hiking.Kalinchowk is named after KalinchowkBhagwati (dedicated to Hindu Goddess Kali). This gives an idea of how culturally rich the place is.
